Nicole Carroll began riding at the age of four, and spent her
formative junior years riding under such recognizable names as Kelly
Van Vleck and Rudy Leone. During that time, she was successful in
the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings, and brought home numerous
year end awards. In 2006, she opened Nicole Carroll Equestrian, a
hunter/jumper business dedicated to the highest standards of
horsemanship and sportsmanship.
As a
professional, Nicole has coached countless children, teens,
and adults from the very beginners to her team of successful A
Circuit competitors. She has qualified students for multiple
equitation medal finals, including the Almaden Medal, Hudson Medal,
Horse and Hound Medal, and various others. She also remains a
frequent presence on the A Circuit herself, and has won numerous
championships in the open hunter and jumper divisions.
Nicole has been featured five times on the
Bay Area Equestrian Network's "How To" video series, and has a new
video forthcoming. She also regularly judges local hunter/jumper
competitions. In addition to her competitive success, Nicole
maintains a strong passion for teaching both horses and humans and
takes pride in working with young and developing horses.
Nicole believes firmly in both being a role
model and in teaching positive values in her students, including
hard work, a love of horses, and good sportsmanship.
